So Many Things

There are so many things I have not written. So little time.

Three babies have been born into my hands since I wrote last, including my first shoulder dystocia (mild, but I did have my hand/arm in the mom above the wrist). This on a mom whose pelvis I was a bit nervous about going into it all (that's another post).

Six more births to go and I will have completed the requirements of my apprenticeship and be ready to sit for the NARM exam. It's hard to believe I am this close now.

Right now, I am in a hotel in Michigan with several sick kids (two whom were barfing in the car on the 17 hour drive yesterday.... niiiiice.) as my mom is having her liver transplant on Thursday. My brother is going to be a living donor for her. They will remove 60% of his liver and transplant it into her. Over the next year, his will fully regenerate. That is simply amazing. And I pray it will mean health, rejuvenation and a new lease on life for my mom, who is very, very sick now. So, if you pray, PRAY for both my mom and my brother and for this huge surgery coming up. Also for my sister-in-law as her stress level is through the roof. And for my kids, who will be cooped up in a hotel room all week, sick and unable to see grandma or uncle because of the risk of exposing them to this illness.
