My dad finished his chemo two weeks ago today. So he was still feeling pretty gross, with a clay taste in his mouth. He looked thin, but otherwise not too bad.
My mom however, looked awful. Her muscle mass is gone, her hair is frizzy and unkempt looking all the time, her skin is just hanging off her and looks pale and pasty. She has a blank look on her face a lot of the time and she can only stay awake for about two hours at a time. She was glad to see the kids and I was glad to spend time with her as well.
