The tale of a fledgling midwife as she learns to fly. A bit of personal life, a bit of birth stories, a bit of everything, mostly.

Another Year!
Another year has gone by, marking 18 years of marriage for PreacherMan and I. Tonight is a dinner at a nice restaurant, possibly a movie (I Am Legend) and then home for some romance. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
Congratulations! Happy Anniversary! (BTW, dh and I went to see I Am Legend and I loved it (dh was slightly more scared and less enthusiastic than I)). :o)
I'm an early forties (advanced maternal age) mother of eight (grand multipara) who has had babies every way you can have them. Three in the hospital with docs and drugs; fourth baby at home with a lay midwife; fifth baby a c-section; sixth an HBAC waterbirth that my hubby caught, seventh an unattended home waterbirth and the eighth an emergency c-section. I'm a self-proclaimed birth junkie. I love movies and music, and I'm addicted to having babies and helping others have them too.
