The Color Purple

You may have noticed some changes around here. I finally found a template I like. I am still working on/thinking about trying to make my own banner. I lack the programs to do so, but have friends who could do it for me if I get my bum in gear.

Anyway, I have noticed that many midwives love the color purple. It is my favorite color. It was my grandmothers favorite color. In fact, when my Grandma died in February of this year, my daughters and I all wore the color purple to her funeral. It was so much more fitting than black.

What is it about the color purple? There must be significance in there somewhere, I just don't know where?

Isn't that green horrid? When I open the blog in Internet Explorer, the background is white! I don't know how to fix it for Firefox. I'll have to look into that.

Check out this website about "Purple People" http://www.purplepeople.com/pages/info/whypurple.html
It says that purple is the color of royalty, spirituality, and healing. :)

Purple (lavender specifically) is my new favorite color. My daughter died recently and we also wore purple (lavender) to her memorial service.

So it is a very significant color for me. I hope you keep it:)
